18" steering wheel cover installation
The fastest install we sell. It stretches, so the only thing that matters is where you start it and that you work both sides evenly instead of forcing one section over.
Step by step
6 steps- 1Wipe the wheel down so the cover seats evenly.
- 2Line the cover seam up at the six o'clock position.
- 3Hook the bottom edge over the rim and hold it there.
- 4Work both thumbs up either side, stretching as you go.
- 5Roll the last section over the top of the rim.
- 6Run a hand right around to seat the inner layer flat.
Where people go wrongStart at six o'clockLine the cover seam up at the bottom of the wheel. Starting anywhere else leaves the seam under your palms.Work both sides togetherThumbs either side, moving up in step. Stretching one side all the way first is what makes the last section fight you.Seat the inner layerRun a hand right around when it is on. The non-slip layer needs to sit flat against the rim to grip properly.
Will it fit?18" Class 8 wheels: Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth T680 and T880, Peterbilt 579 and 389, Volvo VNL, Mack Anthem. Some Volvo VNL wheels run slightly small and the cover can sit loose — check yours first.
