How to measure the wheel on a Peterbilt 579
- Turn the wheel so the spokes sit level, and measure the rim from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock, not across the spokes.
- Peterbilt's published 18 inch figure is for the standard wheel. If you have the premium leather wheel or an aftermarket one, measure it.
- Measure straight across the wheel, outside edge to outside edge. If it reads 44–46 cm (about 17.3"–18"), it fits. At 46 cm it is a tight fit, so two people make it easier.
