Description and fit

A matched pair of tan wooden-bead covers for the captain chairs up front in a motorhome, driver and passenger. Sold as a 2-pack because captain chairs come in pairs.

What it does, and doesn't

RV front seats are big, vinyl and hold heat for hours on a travel day. The beads lift you a few millimetres clear of that surface so cabin air can reach it. It ventilates. It does not cool the coach, and it is not a padded cushion.

Fit

Universal drape fit for a captain chair with a removable headrest, which covers most Class A, B and C front seating. Before ordering, check four things: the headrest lifts, fold-down armrests clear the cover's side edge, the belt path and side airbag seam stay clear, and the lower strap won't foul a swivel base.

Install and care

About a minute per seat, no tools: loop over the headrest, pull it flat, clip the discs behind the seat. Wipe the beads with a damp cloth and vacuum the mesh. Not machine washable.

Tan is the only color in the RV pair. For black, grey, coffee, blue or wine red, the semi truck version fits many captain chairs too.

Installation

  1. 1Slide the seat back and clear the headrest area.
  2. 2Hang the panel over the seat back with the top row above your shoulders.
  3. 3Hook the top clamps behind the seat and pull them down onto the frame.
  4. 4Run the straps behind the seat and clip the discs together.
  5. 5Lay the base section flat and push the edge into the seam.
  6. 6Sit in it once and re-tension. The beads should not slide when you shift.

Is it padded?
No. A beaded cover is a ventilating layer, not a cushion — it holds you a few millimetres off the seat so air can move. If you want padding and lumbar support, that is the seat cushion, not the beaded cover.
How long does installation take?
Under five minutes for a beaded cover or a steering wheel cover — hooks, no tools. Follow the written installation guide for your product.
